Our story
Growing up, Ah Ma’s hot sauce wasn’t just a condiment—it was the main event. We didn't just "use" it; we craved it on everything from poultry, meat, to fresh-caught seafood.
As Ah Ma got older, we realized we couldn’t let her legendary heat fade away. But as anyone who has tried to pin down their grandmother's recipe knows, there are no teaspoons or measuring cups, only "a pinch of this" and "a dash of that." It was pure art, guided by instinct and years of practice.
We shadowed her in the kitchen, hovering with notebooks and our cameras, measuring the ingredients she laid out before they hit the pot. But having the recipe was only half the battle. The real secret was the fire—mastering the precise heat that brought the hot sauce to life.
After countless rounds of trial, error, and scorched tongues, we finally captured it, and made it our own.

How does the pre-order work?
Operating as a small business, pre-ordering now helps us streamline production. Our target is to have those jars of Strait Fire delivered to you within a month.
What exactly goes into Strait Fire?
As promised, it's just 6 simple ingredients to give 1 great taste. Vegetable oil, Shallots, Thai Red Chili Peppers, Garlic, Salt, and Sugar. That's it!
Does Strait Fire need to be refrigerated?
Strait Fire is shelf stable which means it can last for up to 12 months without refrigeration (and yes, we don't add preservatives).
However, we always recommend keeping it refrigerated at all times if possible. We personally find that keeping it in the fridge helps to preserve its quality and flavor for a longer time.
What size does Strait Fire come in?
Our standard size is an 8 oz jar. But we also have a fun-sized 2 oz jar with custom labeling for special events such as weddings, corporate events, and seasonal events. Reach out if you're interested for more details!
When will I get my order?

How much does shipping cost?
